Summer Camps

I’m waking up on our last morning in Oxford. It’s been another incredible week here. We joined something called the ‘Oxford Experience’, which allows us to spend a week in Christ Church College, taking classes, eating in the dining hall, living in the dorm, and talking with fellow students from all over the world. We went two years ago, and have been looking forward to coming back ever since.
We have met so many incredibly kind, accomplished, intelligent and curious people on this week’s journey. We’ve had animated, lively conversations that fill the soul – philosophy and parenting. Quantum physics to literature to ancient history. Life stories and humorous anecdotes. The conversations are the best part of the week.
The kids have been at their summer camp this week – playing capture the flag, and making tie-dye t-shirts and hopefully doing a little bit of white water rafting and other summer camp fun. My dad will pick them up on Saturday, and then on Sunday, he’ll fly them out to Marseilles where we’ll meet up with them and continue the summer adventure.
